About Sparsholt Church of England Primary School
Our Vision Descriptor - "High Achievement for Everyone in a Caring Christian School" encapsulates the ethos of the School. We also have a Sparsholt Code that is embedded in our behaviour policy and daily practice:
"At Sparsholt School we show care, kindness and respect for others and pride in our work. We let the teachings of Jesus guide us in all that we do."
The code is learned by all the children and referred to in all situations. Through our assembly groups and designated roles the older children are actively encouraged to take responsibility for their achievements and behaviour and to show responsibility in their care for the younger children.
We were inspected by OFSTED in July 2007. The report stated that...
"This is a good school with a number of outstanding aspects... At Sparsholt every child really does matter and at the heart of its work are the excellent care and support of every child... consequently, pupils' personal development is outstanding."
Commendations from our Denominational Inspection in 2003 reported:
- The feeling throughout the school of belonging to an extended family.
- The team spirit evident between all adults.
- The posistive and overall consistency of approach.
- The care of the building, welcoming atmosphere and attractive environment.
