Football Club
The pupils say... "Mr Young, our head teacher runs the football club on a Wednesday after school 3.30 – 4.15 for yers 3 - 6 during the Autumn and Spring term. After a warm up, the club splits into two groups – the small pitch is for the inexperienced and the big pitch for the experienced. We play other schools both home and away."
Cricket Club
The pupils say..."The club is run by Mr Young, our head teacher, during the Summer term. The club is run after school on a Wednesday from 3.30-4:15. The club is open to year 3 up to year 6. We play quick cricket where everyone gets a chance to bat, wicket and bowl. We play other schools at a tournament and we get to go up to Sparsholt Village Cricket ground and play a match on their pitch. Its great fun!"
Mrs Davies and Miss Norgate run the Netball Club during the Autumn and Spring Terms on a Wednesday from 3.30 - 4.15 for classes 3, 4 and 5. Children will have the opportunity to represent the school by being selected for the netball team and playing both home and away matches.
The Rounders Club during the Summer Term runs on a Wednesday from 3.30 - 4.15 for classes 3, 4 and 5. Children will have the opportunity to represent the school by being selected for the rounders team and playing both home and away matches.
Homework Club
Open to years 3 - 6 only and run by Mrs Brennan from 3.30 - 4.15 on a Tuesday.
ICT Club
ICT club is held every Monday beginning 14th September. Mrs Southgate and Mis Sheppeck lead the club; there is a maximum number of 12 members at a time from Year 3 to Year 6.
- What we do: Learn about the entire computer programs and how to work them. We also help the class when they don't know what to do.
- When we meet: straight after school for one very short hour.
- What we have done:
- Created a school timeline with help from David Bond, Archive Education Officer with the Hampshire Record Office
- Used a program called Scratch to create games and animations
- We learned how to use google earth and the flight simulator
- We learned to use the computer without touching the mouse
- We continued every week to improve our keyboard skills.
- We have created Zooks and have a team in this year's BBC Bamzooki TV Quiz
- Past clubs have created their own webpages and school quizzes
- We have created a virtual tour of the school and have our own school weblog
- Our aim is to have FUN and learn new skills.

Writer's Club

Running Club
The Running Club is a great activity for all Key Stage 2 children to do before school begins on a Tuesday morning at 8.30am and is run by Mrs Bradwell and Mrs Ireland. It is a brilliant opportunity for the children to have fun, keep fit and get to know the local area!
Athletics Club
This will begin again on a Tuesday lunchtime from 12 - 12.30. Those children wishing to participate must bring a packed lunch as there will not time for a cooked meal.
Planet Sport (Team Elite)
After school sports club (Tuesday 3.30 - 4.30pm) is available to book online for Autumn Term (w/c 2th November) from the Planet Sport website. Please note there is a cost involved with this club.
Church Club
Church Club is offered to all children after school on a Tuesday. Rev'd Juliette Montegue and Rev'd Rason attend the sessions with support from the St Stephen's Church. The aim of the club is to encourage the children in learning about the Christian faith in an interesting and fun way.
Creative Arts Club
This club, led by Mrs Laver and Mrs Cooke, will run during the Autumn term on a Thursday from 3.30 - 4.15. It is aimed at those children interested in drama, dance, theatre and photography.
German and Crafts Club
This runs on a Monday led by Frau Miller from 3.30 - 4.15 for Yr 4, 5 and 6 children. Please contact the school office for more information as there is a cost invloved.
Choir
Choir club will run as and when required throughout the school year. Information in newsletters or website will let you know when the school requires the children's vocal talents!
Art Club
Donna Vokes, an artist and resident of Sparsholt, comes in to run an after school art club for Key Stage 2 children. It runs on a Tuesday after school from 3.30 - 4.30 and is for Yr 4, 5 and 6 children. Cost is £20.00 for the 5 weeks from 3rd November to 1st December. Art Club for KS1
Mrs Ormerod is running an after-school art club for Key Stage 1 children only on a Monday evening 3.30 - 4.15pm
Recorder's Club
At Sparsholt Primary School we offer two lunchtime recorder clubs on a Thursday for the younger and older children. We have plenty of spare recorders at the school, so no need to buy one!

Pivot Club runs on a Monday lunchtime in the computer suite. Other clubs run by the pupils include Chess Club and Cheerleaders club. Watch this space if any are on offer this term.
