Coronavirus (Covid-19) Updates

23rd March 2020

Sparsholt School Update
Please check your emails for a letter from the head teacher regarding Key Worker eligibility and information.  (link to copy on the website).   You can also find more parent and carer information regarding school closures from the DfE website.
Please confirm with your employer that, based on the business continuity arrangements, your specific role is necessary for the continuation of this essential public service.
If you do fall into one of the categories and have no possibility to make other arrangements to keep your children safe then please contact the office immediately so we can confirm arrangements for next week.
All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child into school from Monday 23rd March onwards.
As a school we will, of course, endeavour to ensure that we provide materials that will enable your children’s education to continue whilst we go through this uncertain period.

As you all know, teachers have already uploaded materials onto the school’s VLE for Years 1 to 6 and materials for Year R were emailed. All Year 1 to 6 pupils should have now received a reminder email outlining their VLE log-ins and passwords. Please email us immediately if you do not have these details.

These materials should keep the children busy up to the Easter Break. After the Easter break, teachers will continue to upload materials weekly (Reception children’s work will be emailed) with guidance for parents so that the children can continue with their education. Please do use the website links we have signposted if you need further materials.

These are very uncertain times for all of us and we will try our best to keep you up-to-date as things change and evolve.  Thank you again for your continued support, and we will be in touch with more information when we can.

Please do remember to follow any Government advice if you or family members begin to show any symptoms. This is being continually updated so please do check that you are following up-to-date advice.

Please share simple and effective hand hygiene messages with your children.

  • Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.
