Christingle Service at St Stephen's Church

7th December 2018

This morning the whole school gathered at St Stephen’s Church for a wonderful Christingle Service led by Rev’d Jax. The symbolism of each piece of the Christingle was explained by Rev’d Jax, as brave volunteers stepped forward to help her create a human Christingle! It was a truly magical and memorable moment when all our 134 children lit their Christingles and sang “Away in a Manger” in the candle light.

Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who attended and also many thanks for your kind donations to the Children’s Society, who play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children who need care, security and support this Christmas. This is a special year for Christingle, marking 50 years since the first Church of England Service was held in this country and our Christingle was certainly a wonderful celebration for the whole learning community.
