Travelling to School

Sparsholt C of E Primary School is accessed via a narrow road running through Sparsholt Village.  Due to the rural location, a school bus is available at the beginning and end of the school day to transport children to designated bus stops, free of charge to Yr R* through to Yr 6 children, in Crawley and Littleton. An application must be made through Hampshire Home to School Transport in order to access this service.
* Home to School Transport policy change for 2019 Year R pupils

Hampshire County Council’s Home to School Transport policy is changing with effect from September 2019.  From September 2019 there is no Local Authority funded Home to School Transport, free to the child/family, for children before they are compulsory school age. Children who meet the eligibility criteria may receive transport at the beginning of the term following their fifth birthday.

However, Hampshire County Council will ensure that there is sufficient transport capacity from September 2019 to enable all parents/carers of YR pupils to purchase a seat for the term(s) preceding and including their child’s fifth birthday, should they choose to do so.  The cost for a seat will depend on the distance from home to school and will be based on the following:

Annual charge

Termly cost

Up to 5 miles

Please follow the link which will provide you with information on eligibility criteria and application portal.
A small public car park is available at the front of the school.  This car park can be very busy at the beginning and end of the school day and parents are advised not to use the car park if they are in a hurry to leave the school site.
Please take care when accessing the school by foot as footpaths are limited.
