Peace Pebbles

In Collective Worship next week, we will be exploring the theme of ‘Standing Together in Peace and Unity’. We will be joining together in prayer with the 160 Church of England Schools across Hampshire to mark the Holocaust Memorial Day.

The year 6 Worship Team will present a worship on Anne Frank: Standing Together in Hope- a true story of determination and co-operation. During a short ceremony each class will place their ‘Peace Wreath’ around our special worship candles.

Throughout the week we will be discussing the important concepts of: peace, friendship, acceptance, unity, togetherness, courage and compassion.

We would like all children in the school (and hopefully adults as well!) to use their creativity skills to paint a peace pebble and bring them into school during the week beginning Monday 27th January. These will be displayed in St Stephen’s Church ready for you to admire at our school led Church Service on Sunday 9th February.

We will then ask you to take your beautiful peace pebbles home and hide it somewhere for someone to find in the hope of sharing the message of peace to uplift the lives of others.
